Hickory Lane Park has created a tropical oasis in Wisconsin. It was a team effort to bring this playground to life – the community of Jackson came together to raise money and make it happen. While Jackson is a rural community, its proximity to Milwaukee and other large cities makes it a community of commuters. These commuters work in the city, and enjoy coming home to relax and play with their children – the new playground provides the perfect environment to do just that.
Little Tikes Commercial representative Northland Recreation partnered with the Village of Jackson to create a tropical paradise. The existing splash pad in Hickory Lane Park had been a popular destination for play, but it needed a themed playground to match. The new playground is twice the size of the old one and features inclusive play elements, so children of all ages and abilities can enjoy playing side-by-side. You’ll find a NU-Edge® tower, several slides, climbing features, a Rock ’N Ship Glider, a Revolution Inclusive Spinner, and a sand play area. With the Palm Tree Roofs, colorful inclusive surfacing, and plenty of shade, it’s no surprise this new playground, combined with the splash pad, makes the perfect paradise to spend a sunny afternoon.
